Our vision is to enhance public safety by promoting building security. The BSC seeks to accomplish this mission through its Building Security Certified Professional (BSCP™) credential. In addition to these core offerings, BSC has launched a new Online Learning Center for anyone who is pursuing a BSCP or just interested in learning more about buidling security. Learn more
NAE - Message from the President
NAE President announces new website to help the engineering community
communicate more effectively with the public about engineering
January 18, 2011
Today the NAE is launching a website intended to help the engineering community communicate more effectively with the public about engineering. The website is centered on the messages detailed in the 2008 NAE report, Changing the Conversation: Messages for Improving Public Understanding of Engineering. It is designed to be a resource for organizations that represent, train, employ, or in other ways depend on engineering talent.
The site's primary audience is technology-focused industries, engineering professional societies, engineering schools, federal and state agencies who hire or support the work of engineers, and various non-governmental groups with interests in engineering.
I hope that you will visit the site at www.engineeringmessages.org, browse through the engineering messages examples, leave comments, and share the site with your colleagues. This website is a product of an NAE project co-chaired by Ellen Kullman, chair of the board and CEO of DuPont, and me.
Sincerely yours,
Charles M. Vest President
