ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING AT THE MILWAUKEE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
The Architectural Engineering program at the Milwaukee School Of
Engineering is a four year program. As with all AE programs we have
required courses in math, physics, chemistry and the engineering
sciences. Beyond those you will take introductory classes in building
structural, electrical, and mechanical systems along with classes in
architectural design and construction management. During the Junior
year you will choose your "design specialty" from either the building
structural, electrical, or mechanical systems field. This specialty
selection will give you five additional classes in that field. Our
capstone senior design class is a year long sequence where you work on a
team comprised of students from each design specialty. During the first
half of the year you all participate in the architectural design of the
project, during the second half of the year you do the engineering
design for the part of the project that relates to your design
specialty. We also offer a 5 year program where you get both an AE
degree and also a second BS degree in Construction Management.
